Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is an irregular starburst dwarf galaxy located 60 million light years away in the constellation of Eridanus at a declination of -10 degrees.  This magnitude 12.5 galaxy spans 1.7 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 30,000 light years.

This object looks like a distant version of our Large Magellanic Cloud.  The Hubble image shows the starburst nature of this galaxy much better than my image.  I need to capture some Ha subs and see if I can bring out the HII regions more.
